Etihad Airways flights to and from Abu Dhabi have been disrupted this morning by the closure of Abu Dhabi International Airport due to severe fog.
Following the closure at 2.30am, the airline diverted seven inbound flights to three other airports in the UAE – Dubai World Central, Al Ain and Al Bateen.
Other inbound flights have been delayed, and departures from Abu Dhabi have been affected.
The runways were re-opened at 3.40am. Etihad Airways is working to minimise disruption to its customers, and will provide updates.
Passengers are advised to contact the Etihad Airways Contact Centre on +971 (0) 2599 0000 or visit the Etihad Airways website at www.etihad.com/flightstatus for more information on the status of flights in and out of Abu Dhabi Airport.
