Images have been taken from Lagerfeld’s original archives of the Greek Coastline Paris - Arabstoday The Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo has unveiled a partnership with renowned designer Karl Lagerfeld. Designed especially for the hotel, the designer has taken inspiration from Ulysses’ Journey around the Mediterranean Sea to create a 20m x 3m glass mural made up of 18 glass panels which has been placed alongside the brand new pool. This bespoke creation is made up of imagery taken from Karl Lagerfeld’s original archives of the Greek Coastline between the 1850’s and 1860’s and superimposed images of Chanel models adorned in Grecian toga’s designed by Lagerfeld himself. Each panel is illuminated from the back by LED lighting - adjusting in accordance to the natural outdoor light and giving the impression of movement. In keeping with this Grecian theme, the hotel is also launching its third Joel Robuchon restaurant, titled Odyssey, and Le Metropole Spa has introduced four Greek Mythology-inspired treatments for men and women.
