Anse Source d’Argent – Seychelles
Seychelles has moved to now position itself as “The Honeymoon” destination, after the world at large refers to these exotic mid-ocean islands as the most sought after wedding and honeymoon destination.
During the month of June, the “Planning your Wedding Magazine” in the UK, the glossy magazine which remains the respected and consulted publication filled with useful tips and tricks for brides, has carried a page depicting Seychelles. “Planning your Wedding Magazine” is distributed throughout the UK and remains extremely popular in Crawley, Horsham, Horley, Lingfield, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Cranbrook, Tenterden, Oxted, and Edenbridge, just to name a few.
“Planning your Wedding Magazine” has a print run of 12,000 copies, which are distributed to outlets including registry offices, hotels, licensed venues, tourist information centers, news agents, wedding fayres, beauticians&hairs salons, dentists, florists, bridal boutiques, etc. These are popular areas among the female segment and more specifically those planning to get married.
Maria Morel, the Marketing Executive for the Seychelles Tourist Office - UK&Ireland, said that this was yet again another opportunity and effort for Seychelles, through its UK partners, to remain fresh in the minds of honeymooners in choosing the perfect destination for their special day.
The Tourism Board said that Seychelles welcomed the most publicized honeymoon of Prince William and Kate Middleton just a year ago, “but since that royal honeymoon, the world has been descending on Seychelles for their honeymoon to have their own taste of paradise and to appreciate what the young British Prince and his spectacular bride enjoyed. Earlier this month nineteen young Chinese couples also chose Seychelles for their wedding. That group wedding event was another first for Seychelles.”
