Hôtel Le Bristol
The five-star hotel came in first place in the zone encompassing Europe, Turkey and Russia in a survey conducted by UK-based Condé Nast Traveller magazine
.
French hotels emerged as the stars of this 16th edition of the magazine\'s Readers\' Travel Awards, claiming three of the top five spots. The Four Seasons Hotel George V (Paris) and the Hôtel du Cap Eden-Roc (Antibes, Southeast France) were awarded third and fourth place respectively.
A few weeks before claiming the top spot in Condé Nast Traveller\'s ranking, Le Bristol was named best hotel in France for the third consecutive year in the World Travel Awards, announced last August 31 but losing its title there as top hotel in Europe to The Ciragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul.
Located on the very chic Faubourg Saint-Honoré in central Paris, Le Bristol is reaping the rewards of its recent renovation, begun in 2009. The hotel added new suites, opened the 114 Faubourg bistro and built a state-of-the-art spa.
The October issue of Condé Nast Traveller featuring the Readers\' Travel Awards is on newsstands now.
