Dacia has proved to be a popular Renault brand in Morocco
The Renault Group has issued a report in which it has confirmed a 3.3 percent increase in auto sales last month, compared to figures in 2012.
The Group, which comprises Dacia and Renault, sold
3909 cars in February 2013, a 39.5 percent share of car sales in Morocco.
Dacia sales increased by 10.1 percent in February, and 15.3 percent in the first two months of 2013, compared to the same period in 2012.
Renault Group said it had sold 2366 Dacia's last month, and 4682 in both January and February combined.
Dacia's popularity in Morocco contributed to 20.8 percent of the sales in a market where a total of 27,097 cars were sold.
Moroccan car dealers sold 1543 Renault cars last month, around 15.6 percent of the total auto sales in Morocco.
Renault Group said it had sold 47,711 vehicles from January to December 2012, with a 15% rise compared to the same period in 2011.
The results showed that Renault Group had taken the lead in the Moroccan market during 2012, outselling rivals with a 36.6 percent share of the sales.
