Elie Saab’s ‘The Light of Now’ The Lebanese couturier has created a new online publication, set to go live after his Paris fashion week show next week. Elie Saab is launching a new monthly e-magazine titled "The Light of Now," filled with original editorial content
designed to explore the intersections of contemporary culture and the label's own universe.
The magazine is launching on Monday, March 3, the same day as the Elie Saab Fall-Winter 2014 show, which will be livestreamed on the magazine's homepage.
According to the brand, it's an attempt at providing "broader and more in-depth content" for fans of the designer's lavish creations. Elie Saab has over a million Facebook fans (having grown over 50% in one year), and as the company doesn't yet advertise online or have an e-commerce site, Elie Saab is calling the growth "entirely organic" and reflective of a wider interest in the brand. Hence the magazine.
There will be nine new articles each month with a broad focus across design, art, music, perfume and the world of fashion, and contributors will include blogger Catherine Kallon, the writer behind Red Carpet Fashion Awards.
You'll be able to access the magazine through the site (there's already a countdown timer): http://www.eliesaab.com/thelightofnow/
