Head of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh’s group and president of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Institute, Dr Talal Abu-Ghazaleh received Vice Premier of the Chinese State Council, Senior Education and Culture Officer Dr. Liu Yandong, stressing on the two countries’ relations during the welcoming party attended by number of ministers, parliament members and high ranked businessmen.
Abu-Ghazaleh offered Liu Yandong to participate in a joint cooperation process to make a brighter future and provide digital education through a 7 inches “Fablit” device that works as a smart phone and a mini laptop at the same time. This device will be affordable and can be used as a student back bag in all schools, and it will be used to spread knowledge in all Arab communities.
He expressed his gratitude for choosing Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International Digital University for this visit, adding that he was the first Jordanian to receive award for outstanding efforts to support Arab-China friendship in 2016 by the Chinese president, Shi Jinping.
He said that he appreciates his institute, his group offices in China, his partnership with Chinese universities, and providing visas to Jordanians travelling to China since 2009, under the supervision of the Chinese embassy and Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property, which served more than quarter of a million Chinese companies since 1972.
He said that the institute prepared a plan to teach Arabic language in China through a program and a certified test and certificate, proposing the establishment of schools with Chinese teachers like other foreign schools in the region.
Liu Yandong praised the strong cooperation relations between the two countries and the development in many fields, saying that King Abdullah II and the Chinese president exchanged congratulations over 40 years of solid relations. She also praised Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Institute and its achievements.
She added that the language is a carrier of cultures and a bridge to hearts, and that the institute is trying to achieve mutual understanding between Arabic and Chinese languages, announcing the launch of 3 Jordanian initiatives of presenting 2000 books about Chinese culture, inviting 50 young man to participate in Scouts camp in China, and offering 20 scholarships. She saw a performance by the institute’s students called” The Chinese dream”, telling their achievements.
