Moroccan activist, Fatima Khouchoua (R)
Moroccan grassroots activist, Fatima Khouchoua won the humanitarian of the year award in Africa given by British NGO “Women 4 Africa”. Khouchoua, founder of “Giving Chances”, an NGO which supports education projects in Morocco
, was nominated along with three other African activists (two from Nigeria and one from Sierra Leone).
According to “Women 4 Africa”, the Moroccan candidate has led significant projects and efforts to increase enrollment and reading in schools in disadvantaged areas.
