Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development, MICAD, and Head of the UAE Committee for Coordination of Foreign Humanitarian Aid, has said that the UAE under the wise leadership represented by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, realises that the promotion of development visions on the African continent requires the consolidation of all efforts of the international community and to mobilise resources and capacities of international institutions to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of the African countries given to the elements of the massive development that is available to these countries.
Sheikha Lubna said this when she received Dr. Malika Issoufou Mahamadou, the wife of the President of Niger, and her accompanying delegation at the headquarters of the Ministry in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, Sheikha Lubna also emphasised the importance of supporting the education and health care sectors for their extreme significance in supporting the goals of sustainable development, stressing the depth of relations between the UAE and African countries, particularly in the trade and economic sectors.
Sheikha Lubna stressed that the relations between the UAE and Niger are witnessing significant progress in all areas, with a deepening of partnership channels out of honourable directives and agreement in the views of both countries' leaders.
Dr. Mahamadou expressed her happiness at visiting the UAE, being briefed on the development experience achieved by the state under the guidance of its wise leadership in all areas; in particular, strengthening the position of the country on the map of international development efforts, and effectively responding to all humanitarian crises and promoting the values of dialogue and openness to the world, where the UAE has become an influential country in many sectors by achieving global pioneering indicators and enhancing its competitiveness as an attractive destination for investment in the Middle East.
She also highlighted the importance of strengthening the distinguished relations between the UAE and the Republic of Niger in all fields, including international development and the promotion of exchanging views and joint investments and coordination.
