An Iranian Shiite organization based in Baghdad has announced its first activity in the Middle East, promoting the temporary marriage, in a publicized manner, while providing the right environment for customers. The institution follows 14 hotels in different governorates and 14 marriage offices.
The Islamic faith foundation claims that its project aims to protect young people from deviation and that there is nothing wrong with advertising it, and reception of the willing, according to the terms announced such as: "name, age, address", in addition to a prepaid card as payment for promotion and service. The foundation confirmed that the daily turnout rate is about 300 people.
Yasmine Darraji, the director of media of the foundation, wrote on her Facebook page: "We announce the opening of temporary marriage project, which protects young people and women from through the commitment of the parties to the contracts of legitimacy by elders with competence in this area".
"We have 14 hotels in different governorates in Iraq and 14 marriage offices affiliated with the institution, noting that the contract is free for the organization's clients. There are also six hotels in Baghdad," she said.
The foundation has also set the times of reply to the letters and inquiries of customers or those interested in this type of temporary marriage from 5 pm to 9 pm. The foundation published lists of women in the capital Baghdad for temporary marriage. The customer can choose the name of the woman along with the serial number and the institution's correspondence on "private page."
In other publications, the foundation called on the media, the press and civil society organizations to conduct a dialogue forum under the title "Objectives of temporary marriage" to be organized at its headquarters in Baghdad.
It is worth mentioning that temporary marriage is banned in Islamic religion, but it is used in Twelver Shia sect, where the duration of the marriage and the dowry must be specified and agreed upon in advance.
