Fatima bint Mubarak says satisfied over U.A.E. women's enthusiastic response to call for national service
H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the General Women's Union (GWU), Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of Motherhood, Childhood Supreme Council of Motherhood and Childhood, has expressed her satisfaction over the response and enthusiasm of U.A.E. young women to the call for joining national service.
Sheikha Fatima was speaking as she received female officers who presented her with a presentation on the national service for women on directives from Major General Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority.
"We have proudly been seeing young Emirati women thronging recruitment centres to join up and express their loyalty to and love for their country and their readiness to sacrifice for the sake of their country and for protecting its sovereignty, achievements and gains," Sheikh Fatima bint Mubarak.
"We greet Emirati women for their deep allegiance and genuine belonging, selflessness, generosity and constant readiness to defend the nation and national gains", she said noting that their response reflects Emirati women's spirit of sacrifice.
She further noted the strong presence of Emirati women in all the units of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, including Air Force and Air Defence, as well as their ability to making it to the rank of brigadier.
Sheikha Fatima thanked all officials of National and Reserve Service Authority for their efforts and reiterated her support for them.
