Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will open the Palestinian embassy in Kuwait during an official visit to the Gulf state in mid- April, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa. He will raise the Palestinian flag over the embassy which was closed almost 22 years ago. During the visit, Abbas will have talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah on issues of mutual concern. Abbas is scheduled to meet with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah as well as accredited Arab ambassadors in Kuwait, Kuwaiti newpaper chief editors and Palestinian businessmen residing in Kuwait.
