His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain exchanged congratulations with British Prime Minister Theresa May on the advent of the New Year.
In a phone call held on Saturday, HM the King and the British Premier discussed a number of key issues of mutual interest.
The British Premier hailed the outcome of her summit with the GCC leaders on the 7th of December on the sidelines of the 37th GCC Summit, which was held in Bahrain, according to Bahrain News Agency, BNA.
Prime Minister Theresa May stressed the importance of pursuing joint efforts to implement the summit positive results, expressing the hope that peace would prevail in the region and the world during the New Year.
HM the King thanked the British Premier for her good feelings, commending deep?rooted historic relations and the march of cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom over more than 200 years.
He reiterated Bahrain’s firm engagement to promote development, peace and stability on the basis of trust and mutual interest, hoping security and peace would prevail all over the world.
