H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah and Honorary President of the UAE Taekwondo Federation, received the members of the UAE National Taekwondo Team at his office in the Emiri Court this morning, after their exceptional performance in the Taekwondo World Youth Championship that was held in Sharm Al Sheikh in Egypt, and the victory of Abdullah Ghalloum Al Mazmi from Sharjah, who won a bronze medal during the championship.
His Highness honoured Al Mazmi, whose bronze medal is the first for the UAE in Taekwondo during the championship while stressing the importance of maintaining this level of success.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad expressed his appreciation to the members of the UAE Taekwondo National Team for their exceptional performance during the championship, and he stressed the importance of participating in upcoming competitions with exceptional levels of persistence and commitment, to accomplish greater achievements on Arab and international levels.
He was also briefed by Brigadier Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Chairman of the UAE Taekwondo Federation, about the competitions where the national team participated in during the championship, and he praised the efforts of the technical committee led by the national team coach, Abdullah Hatim.
The meeting was also attended by Salem Al Zahmi, Director of the Office of the Fujairah Crown Prince, and Zayed Al Suwaidi, Vice President of the UAE Taekwondo Federation.
