King Abdullah of Jordan and Crown Prince Haakon of the Kingdom of Norway on Wednesday discussed ways to promote economic and military cooperation between the two countries and encourage Norwegian investments in the renewable energy sector in Jordan.
According to the Jordan News Agency, the meeting touched on the Sahara project, an eco-project co-funded by the European Union and the Kingdom of Norway to grow vegetables, generate power form solar energy and produce freshwater in the Aqaba desert.
The discussion also dealt with the current regional developments, particularly efforts aimed at re-launching the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis based on the two-state solution, which they agree is the only way to resolve the conflict.
They also reviewed ways to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria that guarantees the territorial integrity of Syria and the security of its people. They also reviewed counterterrorism efforts.
