King Abdullah II of Jordan today received Oman's Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, where they discussed bilateral ties between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two sides expressed their keenness to activate bilateral cooperation agreements, mainly in the economic, investment, military, and security fields. They also stressed the importance of holding meetings of the Joint Jordanian-Omani Committee, the Petra News Agency reported.
They also reviewed the latest regional developments, particularly in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq and means of addressing them.
King Abdullah expressed his appreciation to the efforts led by Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman, to defuse regional crises.
