Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi said that free trade and prevention of protectionist measures are among the most important growth factors that led the UAE economy to recovery from the global financial crisis. In a meeting with the Vice-President of the European Parliament Ms Rodi Kratsa, the minister also noted that the UAE did not resort to any measures that influence the foreign trade. During the meeting held at the MOFT headquarters in Abu Dhabi they also held talks on means of enhancing bilateral relations between UAE and EU, especially in the fields of economy, trade and investment. Krasta stressed the need for enhanced cooperation among all the global economic forces to overcome the economic crisis and to achieve positive growth rates. The meeting was attended by Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Trade.
