Police teams from Sharjah and Dubai rescued two Emirati men who got stranded on a mountain range in Khor Fakkan while searching for honey.
The men contacted Khor Fakkan police for help once they lost their way in an area between Wadi Shais and Al Nahwa in Khor Fakkan on Friday evening.Major Rashid Yousuf Bin Sandal, director of Ambulance and Rescue Department at Sharjah Police, said they received a call from Lieutenant Colonel Walid Al Yamahi , Director General of Khor Fakkan Police asking for help to rescue the stranded men.
Sharjah police and Dubai Police divided the mission between and started an operation to find the lost men.
Rescue operations lasted about 13 hours and the teams managed to locate the stranded men on Saturday morning.
