Prince Raad, Chief Chamberlain and President of the Higher Council for the Affairs of People with Disabilities (HCD), on Monday underlined the Kingdom\'s commitment to ensuring that people with disabilities (PWD) enjoy their full rights in education, training and work. Attending a ceremony held to mark International White Cane Safety Day, observed annually on October 15, the Prince stressed the need to raise more awareness on the need to integrate PWD into society as active members. At the end of the ceremony, organised by the HCD in cooperation with Al Diaa Society for Children with Visual Impairments, Prince Raad toured the society and listened to a briefing on services it provides. The international day aims to highlight achievements of people with visual impairments and raise awareness on the importance of the white cane in assisting them.
