Winners of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for Empowerment of Bahraini Women will be announced tomorrow.
Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King, President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) will patronize the event.
The winning institutions of the national award have been chosen based on progress achieved by Bahraini women in government and private sectors’ institutions, which indicates the Bahraini women's capabilities to contribute to the comprehensive development process.
The number of institutions participated in the award has increased to 77 in 2016 compared to 30 in 2006 when it was first launched, which highlights the positive impact of the award on the culture of institutions and their orientation toward integrating women's needs into development and equal opportunities.
The award boosts the national efforts to translate the government policy to achieve equal opportunities based on women’s competiveness to contribute to supporting the national economy.
