Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa has patronized, in the presence of the First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the ceremony hosted by the General Organisation for Youth and Sport (GOYS) under the theme of “Building a Better World: Partnering with Youth”. SCYS Secretary-General Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, officials from SCYS, BOC and UN and guests also attended the event held at the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa to mark the International Youth Day. Addressing the audience, Shaikh Nasser stressed the crucial role of youth in building the kingdom’s promising future, adding that they will reap the dividends of the development march Bahrain is currently witnessing. He also called upon Bahraini youths to assume their responsibilities through taking part effectively in building their societies and playing a pivotal role in all sectors. In the end, GOYS President Hesham Mohammed Al-Jowdar presented Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa with two shields.
