Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa will patronise here Sunday the opening of the Youth City, 2030, organised by the General Organisation for Youth and Sport (GOYS), in cooperation with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen). On the occasion, Shaikh Nasser highlighted the importance of holding the Youth City in helping Bahraini youths acquire new skills that will enable them to participate effectively in the development march witnessed by the kingdom, praising the wise leadership's constant care for youths and directives to support them and help them use their constructive competencies and potentials in the nation-building process. "It is our duty to create perfect conditions for youths to identify their training priorities through linking those programmes with the needs of all sectors in the kingdom," he said, noting that GOYS' launch of the third edition of the Youth City, 2030, is in line with the goals set by the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport aiming to empower youths and prepare them to be involved in the kingdom's development programmes in all sectors. He also explained that this year's Youth City aims to adopt youths' ideas, teach them new skills and create national youth personalities who are aware of their duties towards themselves and their nation, adding that the success of the previous editions of the Youth City was praised by many countries.
