The imam of Abu Huraira Mosque in Jubail on Friday warned people, especially women, about a perfume salesman who has a reputation for blackmailing people at a popular mall in Jubail Industrial City. Citing several incidents, Sheikh Al-Otaibi advised women not to hesitate to seek the help of the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice office if they felt threatened in any way by the man. The imam also told them how the salesman trapped unsuspecting women customers. He would give his business card to a new customer asking her to call him whenever she needed a perfume next time. As soon as the customer called him, the shopkeeper would save the number and start harassing her. At the end of the sermon, Sheikh Al-Otaibi said it was important to report any shopkeepers that attempted to harass women.
