The head of the team in charge of the UNESCO-King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICTs in Education Fengchun Miao stressed that the successful global award reflects the great importance given by Bahrain leadership to developing education and improving its quality for all. He added that the international prize is in tune with UNESCO's educational strategy 2030, pointing out ability of the last edition to draw many international innovated projects and the organisation's efforts to promote the next edition of the prize.
He was speaking at a meeting held by Bahrain's Deputy Permanent Representative to UNESCO and Cultural Advisor at the kingdom's embassy in Paris Shaikha Wafa bint Abdullah Al Khalifa with the UNESCO team in charge of the prize. She conveyed to them the greetings and appreciation of Bahrain leadership and Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi for the efforts made to ensure success of the eighth edition of the prize.
Both sides discussed issues pertaining to developing the prize and projecting it worldwide.
