H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Health Authority (DHA), today opened the new extensions of the Rashid Hospital including specialised medical departments in rare surgical and critical care equipped with advanced medical equipment.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Hamdan, in the presence of Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Humaid Al-Qatami, Chairman and Director-General of Dubai Health Authority, and a number of medical staff of the hospital, launched the new medical insurance system in Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan directed the officials in the authority to accept medical insurance cards issued by private companies in all health facilities and to allow medical cardholders to take advantage of all the health and medical care services provided by DHA. He toured the sections and departments of the hospital, and reassured patients who are receiving medical treatment.
Al Qatami extended his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Hamdan for opening the hospital and the new sections as well as his unlimited support for developing hospitals and their role.
