HE Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah inaugurated today a military medical center, which will be dedicated to serving members of the armed forces and their families.
The center will include a wide variety of medical services, including one for critical cases. It will also have a laboratory, X-ray, and a pharmacy. Director of the center Hamad Saadon Al Athba said today that the development of the center was based on the directives of HE the Minister of State for Defense Affairs. Al Athba noted that they placed a comprehensive plan for operating the center. He stressed that the inauguration of the center is the armed forces' contribution to having modern medicine services in the country that relies on the highest capabilities and personnel. The director said that the vision for the center is for it to become a leader in medical services as well as research.
The center will have a number of clinic, including a general one, diabetes, nutrition, digestive system, Rheumatology among many other clinics. He noted that the pharmacy will also develop medicine for those in need.
