Health Minister Dr Hilal Al-Sayer paid a visit to Al-Jahra Hospital and reviewed the construction projects being conducted to expand the hospital's capacity for better health services. Al- Sayer was accompanied by the Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr Ibrahim Al-Abdulhadi, Director of Jahar Health Zone, Dr Fahad Al-Khaleefa in a tour which was made late Monday. They examined the third phase of construction which includes a women's wing at the emergency room, IVF unit, maternity ward and an Intensive Care Unit. Al-Sayer called all officials at Al-Jahra health zone to take follow up action on these new construction projects, and ensure their conformity to specifications and standards. He also noted that the hospital should make up for any shortage in incubators, pre-term baby medical equipment and medication. He encouraged that all patients' needs be met with, and that any shortage in staff should be dealt with to provide better services for the public by lessening time spent in waiting rooms and by providing proper medical treatment. This tour comes as part of a series of others conducted by the Kuwaiti minister to ensure that all the country's health zones receive necessary medical a nd administrative supplies to proveed with constructions projects.
