Nine people, members of one family, were on Sunday admitted to hospital in the southern Jordan Valley after taking contaminated food. Civil Defence sources said the family, suffering from food poisoning, were treated on the spot by medics who later moved them to Al Safi Government Hospital, where they were listed in a fair condition. It was the latest incident of food poisoning cases across the Kingdom that saw a crackdown on food stores not observing safety standards.
