Egyptian actress Lekaa Sowedan said that she considers herself lucky for her participation in a number of works, including “Haj Noman’s Family” with Arab superstar Teem Al Hassan, “Al Watar”, and “Hafla Tanakoria” play.
She revealed that she signed a contract to participate in the new drama show “Haj Noman Family”, saying that what attracted her to accept the offer is the good scenario. She stressed that the scenario is written in a professional way. She added that the new work discusses social issues in Egyptian countryside. She stressed that it discusses a conflict between two major families in Egyptian village.
She added that she agreed to participate in this work, as it is considered one of the long shows that will attract the attention of the fans. She expressed her confidence that the new show will achieve notable success after its presentation.
She praised the increasing number of superstars who joined the staff of the new show, including Teem Al-Hassan, Salah Abdullah, Youssra Al Lozy and Heba Magdy. She stressed that the new show presents a new and different idea, saying that she accepted to participate in the new drama show due to its difference nature from her previous works.
She added that the role she performs in the new drama show is extremely different from the roles she performed before, saying that it will be a surprise for her fans. She revealed that she will perform a role of a tough and evil person, saying that she expects that the role will be a turning point in her career since its beginning. She stressed the need for diversifying her roles, saying that the actor should not be limited in specific roles to meet the expectations of his fans.
She expressed her pleasure for the positive reactions she received for the role she performed during her latest drama show presented during the latest drama season of Ramadan. She added that the role she performed during “Al-Halal” TV drama show was extremely different, as it was the first time for her to perform the role of a popular girs
She added that she presented a new character in "El Hafla Tankoria" (Masquerade party) play. Her character is an aristocrat girl, who works to exploit all those around her to achieve her own personal interests, regardless anything else, asserting that her character is very provocative.
The play is starring of Mohamed Riad, Lekaa Swedan, Mohamed Mahmoud, Khaled Mahmoud and Jihan Salameh, and a group of modern theater artists including Najah Hassan, Jamil Aziz, Ahmed Youssef, Mohamed Samir, and directed by Hisham Gomaa.
Regarding her participation in "Masquerade" play, she said that it was presented six years ago, adding that there was intention to represent it on the national theatre, while the departure of Egyptian actor Nour Al Sherif prevented the idea.
she expressed her pleasure for the success of her recent drama show "Sons of Nine", praising the staff participating in it. She expressed appreciation to Actress Nicole Saba, saying she strongly loves Egypt.
She stressed, "The series presentation is out of my decision, as it is the deciiof producer who has the right to ensure restoring his money." She expressed her aspirations to present films, while she has not found the suitable role.
She stressed her keenness to choose her clothes carefully, saying that she prefers to deal with Egyptian designer Ayman Hamoni. She added that Hamoni designed the dresses in which she appeared during her participation in Cairo Cinema Festival and the opening ceremony of Catholic Festival of Cinema.
Regarding her problems with her previous husband, actor Hussein Fahmy, she said, “He was not fair with me, while I left the matter to God.” She added that the cinema industry witnessed notable improvement during the current period, as the new films discusses a number of vital issues related to the problems facing the communities.
