Moroccan singer Jannat Cairo - Mahmoud Al Rifai In an exclusive interview with Arab Today, Moroccan singer Jannat stated \"real success does not solely depend on releasing new material, but also lies on being adventurous.\" The Moroccan singer rose to fame after winning musical competition, Noujoum Al Ghad, at the tender age of eight, after which she went on to win several others competitions in Morocco, Egypt, and Dubai. Jannat also performed at the Egyptian Opera stage in 2000 - making her one of the youngest singers to have accomplished such an achievement. Now after a four year industry absence, the 27-year-old star asserts that she wanted to \"step away\" and come back with a new look, adding: \"Creating an album is not easy, you have to work hard.\" \"The political situation in the Arab world has also played vital part in my absence\" the singer continued, voicing her concern on political turmoils in various countries. Jannat\'s third studio album, Hob Gamed (Love Strongly), which launched recently, has already received rave reviews. The young singer was criticised for quoting lyrics from Egyptian singer Faris\' ten year old track Bent Belady in her own song Keda Ya Habibi, but Jannat has denied this, telling Arab Today, \"This is not true; these are just rumours.\" Regarding signing a contract with renowned media empire, Rotana, the Moroccan singer said: “After my last contract ended, I began working on this album during which I got an offer from Rotana.\" \"Unfortunately at that point we could not come to a deal\" Jannat said. \"I then decided to work on this album by myself, but talks then surfaced again and I ended up signing a contract with them.\" Jannat\'s album Hob Gamed is out now.
