Algerian Narimane Mari's feature film "Loubia Hamra" (red haricots) participates in the "Movies" section at the 5th edition of "Middle East Now" festival in Florence (center of Italy), scheduled from 9 to 14 April, organizers announced. Loubia Hamra (2013), scheduled at the festival's international competition of documentary and fiction feature films, will compete for the Grand Prize of public alongside films representing twenty countries. The festival includes other films, "The woman with camera "directed by Karima Zoubir (Morocco - 2012), " Rags and Tatters" of Ahmad Abdalla (Egypt -2013) , "The Last Winter" of Salim Selouati (Iran-2013), and "Return to Homs" directed by Talal Derki (Syria/Germany- 2013). Lasting 77 minutes, "Loubia Hamra", an Algerian- French production, tackles the national war of liberation through a work combining fiction and documentary, in which a group of "kids living on the edge of the sea suddenly goes to participate in war."
