Preparations are underway for the Youth Forum on Peacebuilding that will be held on November 28 under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King's Representative for Charity and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs will stage the event that seeks to achieve boosting the youths’ peacebuilding capabilities in confronting terrorism and extremism.
The forum will shed light on the notion of international peace, efforts of the participating countries in the peacebuilding area, as well as promoting the culture of tolerance, moderation and fairness in societies and preparing a plan to spread peace and combat extremism.
Minister Hisham Al Jowder, in a press statement, said the forum is part of the ministry’s youth programmes on enhancing values of peace and tolerance.
He said past year’s efforts exerted targeted shining the youth capabilities for promoting the national development process and highlighting the homeland’s standing at the global level.
He called on the youth to participate in the forum to express themselves loudly in favour of the international peace process.
