The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Riyadh held a celebration on the occasion of the National Day holidays on December 16-17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783, the 46th anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 18th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.
The Governor of Riyadh, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, honored the reception held by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Shaikh Hamoud bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, at the Tuwaiq Palace.

The ceremony was held at the Embassy and attended by the Riyadh Governor and other guests.

The ceremony started with the Bahraini and Saudi national anthems, followed by an exchange of greetings with the Ambassador and the guests.

The governor expressed his best wishes and congratulations on this occasion to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

He also congratulated the Bahraini people on this auspicious occasion.

The governor also affirmed the depth of the bilateral relations between the leaders of the two countries and brotherly peoples, which are based on close brotherly and historical ties.

He also praised the Kingdom of Bahrain's achievements in the interest of the people of Bahrain and praised the role of Bahrain in promoting Gulf cooperation and Arab and Islamic solidarity and its concern for the security, stability, progress and prosperity of the region.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Govenor of Riyadh and his Royal Highnesses, princes, ministers, ambassadors and dignitaries for honoring the reception, stressing that this is "our source of pride and honor in the Kingdom of Bahrain, for the leadership, government and people.

Shaikh Hamoud Al Khalifa praised the close relations between the two countries and their brotherly peoples, noting the wise leaders' keenness to develop them in various fields.

Shaikh Hamoud bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and the honored guests expressed their heartfelt greetings and congratulations on this special occasion to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister and to the noble Bahraini people, praying to preserve Bahrain, its king, government and people, and to safeguard the security, safety and stability of the country and enable it to achieve further progress in various fields.

The ceremony was attended by a number of Royal Highnesses, princes, ministers, senior officials, ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, businessmen, journalists, dignitaries and a large gathering of invited guests.
