The Parliament of Macedonia will hold an extraordinary session on August 14 which will focus on the situation in the flood-hit areas in the country, Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski announced Thursday.
He said that such decision was taken after reaching an agreement with the heads of the parliamentary groups considering the emergency situation.
In the meantime, the Macedonian government representatives are expected to provide an overview of the situation as well as the efforts being made to assist the flood-affected residents.
Earlier, Prime Minister of Macedonia Emil Dimitriev declared that the government approved the decision on advance payment of damages caused by flooding that hit Macedonia last weekend, leaving 21 people dead.
