Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi reiterated on Thursday the kingdom's keenness on taking all steps needed to expand cooperation with Iraq in implementation of King Abdullah II's directives.
The remarks were made during Safadi's meeting with Iraqi President Fuad Masoum.
Safadi conveyed King Abdullah's greetings to the Iraqi president over the liberation of Mosul and the big victory Iraqi forces achieved against ISIS. Masoum lauded king Abdullah's support for Iraq, saying his country is interested in developing relations with Jordan.
Safadi arrived in the Iraqi capital earlier in the day for talks with a number of senior Iraqi officials. He met with Iraqi parliament speaker Salim el Jabouri for talks on enhancing bilateral relations.
