The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) took part in a two-day regional workshop in Amman, Jordan.
The Arab League organized the event in cooperation with the with Jordan’s National Committee for Women’s Affairs and the United Nations (UN) The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women).
SCW National Strategy director Rana Ahmed Khalifa Al-Ahmed attended the workshop themed “Developing National Plan to Implement Resolutions on Women, Security and Peace in the Arab Region”.
The workshop shed light on means of providing human and financial resources as well as monitory and assessment tools, which represent key pillars of national plans.
The participants discussed means of consolidating cooperation between women-related parties and the security agencies, national human rights institutions.
