In a statement posted by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Al Romaihi said Bahrain was sharing with the UAE its celebrations on the National Day in appreciation of the great Emirati federal progress with its inherent Arab traditions and development, urbanisation and civilisational achievements.
He lauded the positive role played by the UAE at the Arab and international levels, praising strong historic fraternal relations between Bahrain and the UAE.
The minister described bilateral ties as a model of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) unity based on mutual respect and common denominators including religion, language, kinship, common destiny and unwavering commitment to protecting the security of the Arabian Gulf and ensuring its progress and prosperity.
The minister voiced Bahrain’s steady appreciation of the UAE stances in support of its security, stability and democratic and development march under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He paid homage to the founding leader of the UAE late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan for his contribution, alongside the UAE Rulers, to promoting tolerance and cooperation, consolidating pan-Arab work and fostering Islamic solidarity. He hailed the fraternal stance of the two brotherly countries on the fields of dignity, commending the sacrifice of the brave soldiers in defending the security and safety of the GCC peoples as well as the Arab and Islamic nations by participating in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen and the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Alliance.
Al Romaihi asserted that relations between Bahrain and the UAE have always had and will always have a unique specificity due to common denominators. He also pointed out keenness to boost cooperation in the media field.
