Part of his current official visit to the United States, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa met in Washington today with Congresswoman Kay Granger, member of the Financial Committee at the US House of Representatives and reviewed with her ways of developing bilateral relations and defense cooperation between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs hailed the excellent close historical ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States which have seen long decades of partnership and cooperation.
He noted the sustainability and constant progress of bilateral relations to meet the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, affirming the keen desire of the kingdom to further its strategic partnership with the United States within a framework of mutual understanding and constructive cooperation to avail both sides.
Congresswoman Kay Granger praised the growth of the historically deep-rooted ties between the two friendly countries which reflect common desire to broaden aspects of cooperation, meet common interests and reinforce the two countries' endeavors to maintain regional security and stability, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
