Benghazi municipal council member Zakaria Baltamer called on Monday for countries that have consulates in the eastern Libyan city to reopen them, stressing that the conditions in the city are stable.
In press statements Monday, Baltamer asserted that the council and the security bodies are ready to secure the consulates which will be reopened in Benghazi.
He said that the council will shoulder full responsibility for that step.
He asserted that security conditions in Benghazi are stable after the army controlled most of the districts in the city.
