Egypt's Grand Mufti Dr Shawki Allam underlined the close ties binding Egypt and Bosnia.
During his meeting Wednesday with Bosnian Mufti Husein Kavazovic, who is currently visiting Egypt, Allam said that the world is facing major challenges, including the spread of extremism and terrorism.
Allam further said that Dar al Ifta established the general secretariat of the role of the advisory bodies in the world last December, adding that its aim is to coordinate and consult on the issues which concern Muslims and to attain cooperation and coexistence among the Muslims.
Dar al Ifta stands fully ready to provide the necessary support to the Muslims in Bosnia, he said.
The Bosnian mufti, for his part, underlined the importance of his visit to Egypt.
He also said that he is looking forward to signing a cooperation protocol with Dar al Ifta.
He further extended an invitation to Allam to visit Bosnia and get acquainted with the Muslims' conditions in Bosnia.
