HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met here on Saturday with Envoy of US President to the International Coalition against ISIS, Brett Macgork, on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the developments of the current situation in Syria and Iraq and the efforts being exerted in the war against ISIS group. The Foreign Minister stressed the State of Qatar's commitment to those efforts.
HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met also on the sidelines of the Conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the French Republic Jean-Marc Ayrault.
The two sides discussed the latest political developments on the regional and international arenas, particularly the current situation in Syria.
During the meeting, HE the Foreign Minister discussed with his French Counterpart the results of the meeting of the States with similar opinion on the Syrian issue, stressing the importance of following up the results of the Geneva meeting.
HE Foreign Minister met as well on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference with the National Security Advisor of Myanmar, U Thaung Tun. The meeting reviewed bilateral relations as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.
