His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has voiced pride in the strong fraternal Bahraini-Malaysian relations, and their steady progress at all levels thanks to the constant interest of the leaders of their countries.
This came as HM the King received, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, Malaysian Defence Minister, Hishammuddin Hussein, at the Al-Sakhir Palace today.
The minister conveyed to HM King Hamad greetings and appreciation from HM Sultan Mohammed V of Malaysia, and Prime Minister Najib Razak, and their wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of Bahrain.
HM the King welcomed the Malaysian defence minister, and requested him to convey his greetings to Malaysia's King and Prime Minister, as well as his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the brotherly Malaysian people.
HM King Hamad underlined Bahrain's keenness on consolidating and expanding cooperation with brotherly Malaysia, especially in the military and defence fields.
HM the King valued highly Malaysia's contributions to security and peace in the region for the benefits of everyone, praising the importance of the Malaysian minister's visit in strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination.
HM King Hamad also discussed with the Malaysian Defence Minister the latest regional and global developments, as well as issues of common interest.
The Malaysian Defence Minister extended thanks and appreciation to HM the King for his keenness to consolidate Bahrain's solid cooperation relations with Malaysia, wishing bilateral ties more progress.
