Assistant of the President of the Republic, Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid, has affirmed importance of the role of the National Commission for Human Rights, stressing the necessity of support to it so as to realize its goals.
This came when he received in his office at the Republican Palace a delegation of the National Commission for Human Rights.
The delegation has informed the Assistant of the Republic on the commission arrangements for hosting a meeting of the Arab Network for the Human Rights Institutions in Khartoum in next May.
In a press statement, the commission's spokesman, Kamal-Eddin Al-Dinderawi, said that the Arab Network will hold a workshop during May 1 - 3 on the monitoring of elections with participation of all the counterpart commissions in the Arab World.
He explained that the workshop provides a good opportunity for the National Human Rights Commission to reflect its experiment in the monitoring of the elections in the year 2015.
Al-Dinderawi revealed that the Arab Network for Human Rights Institutions aims to establish a special team for monitoring the elections in the Arab World.
