A Yemeni news presenter fought back tears as he reported on his brother’s funeral in a live TV news segment earlier this week.
His brother, referred to as “martyr Amin al-Dhubyani” was killed at the hands of Houthi militiamen in Sanaa last Wednesday, when he was alongside dozens of other captured men used as human shields at a military police base, Mohamed al-Dhubyani said in the report.
The Iranian-backed Houthi militia seized Sanaa in September 2014 and later advanced south, capturing much of the country and forcing the Yemeni government to relocate to the second city of Aden.
