Several people got injured in a terrorist attack at a Church in Pakistan's southwestern city of Quetta on Sunday, an official said.
Interior Minister of Balochistan province Sarfraz Bugti said that he got information from police that some terrorists attacked a church located at the Zarghoon Road area of Quetta.
The interior minister said that at the time of attack people were offering their prayers, adding that a police party was already present to guard the church and it is encountering the attackers.
There are not reports about the causalities. However, the authorities have declared an emergency in all the hospitals in the city.
Following the attack, rescue teams, security forces and police have rushed to the site. Security forces have cordoned off the area.
According to local media reports, a huge blast was heard near the church followed by intensive exchange of firing.
