White House adviser Jared Kushner will meet with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in separate meetings on Thursday, part of a US-led effort to rekindle the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, reported the Deutsche Presse-Agentur, DPA.
Kushner, who is also US President Donald Trump's son-in-law, is visiting Israel and the West Bank as Palestinian officials have expressed dismay about Washington's approach to the peace process.
US envoy for international negotiations Jason Greenblatt and Deputy National Security Advisor Dina Powell are also a part of the delegation.
On Wednesday, Kushner met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. The meeting came as Washington decided to cut and delay parts of its annual aid to Cairo, upsetting Egyptian officials, added DPA.
