A Palestinian stabbed and moderately wounded an Israeli in the West Bank on Sunday before fleeing the scene, the army said.
A military spokeswoman said an Israeli motorist had exited his car after stones were thrown at it.
"The Palestinian then attacked the Israeli, stabbing him in the chest, before fleeing the scene," she said.
Medics said the Israeli man, aged around 40, was taken to hospital in moderate condition with stab wounds to his torso, noting the attack took place near the southern West Bank settlement of Metzad.
