At least 16 militants and three Afghan National Army soldiers have been killed in round-the-clock operations in different parts of Afghanistan, Pagwok Afghan News reported.
The operations were launched by Afghan security personnel in Nangarhar, Paktika, Ghazni, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Baghlan, Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Kunduz and Helmand provinces, the Afghani Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
13 insurgents were killed and four others wounded during an operation in Chora district of Uruzgan province, the statement said. A number of weapons and ammunition were also destroyed in the operations, the statement added.
