At least 25 Taliban militants were killed Tuesday and five others were injured following clearing operations conducted by Afghan national security forces.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said that Afghan National Police conducted several anti-terrorism joint operations with Afghan National Army to clean some of the areas from militants. The operations were conducted in Kunar, Baghlan, Kunduz, Zabul, Uruzgan, Logar, Ghazni and Nimroz provinces, as a result 25 armed Taliban members were killed, five wounded and three others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces. Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition, the statement added.
