At least 99 Taliban militants were killed and 33 others injured during military operations conducted by Afghan security forces in several provinces of the country, BNA reported on Sunday.
The Ministry of Interior said Afghan security forces launched several clearing operations in relevant areas of Parwan, Kandahar, Maidan-Wardak, Khost, Paktika, Ghor, Urozgan, Baghlan and Ghazni provinces, in which 99 armed oppositions were killed, 38 wounded and two others arrested.
According to the source, numerous Taliban leaders were also among those killed or injured insurgents.
